Managing a large volume of reviews can be difficult. Tags are a flexible way to help you organize your reviews and find them for future use.

💡 Track feedback, types of reviews, and content included in reviews. Highlight quality reviews. Identify product problems—track reviews from specific customers and markets.

In this guide, you will learn how to;

Tags in Okendo Reviews

  • Tags do not change the status of a review.

  • You can apply multiple tags to a review.

  • You can add and remove tags regardless of the state of the review.

  • Tags are for internal use only; they are not visible to the customer.

Creating, adding and removing tags

Managing tags in Okendo is handled directly on a review. You will find the Tags panel in the bottom left corner of each review.

To add an existing tag or create a new one, click the "Add Tag" button in the Tags panel. This will bring up the Tags search bar and list of tags that have previously been added.

Start typing to filter the tags and find the tag you want to add to the review.

Select the tag name to add the tag to the review.

If the tag you want to add doesn’t exist, click the "Create tag" option to create a new one.

To remove a tag, hover over the cross to the left of the tag name (it will change to red), then click to remove the tag from the review.

Bulk update reviews with tags

You can manage tags across multiple reviews using the bulk edit functionality in Okendo.

Click the "Select Multiple" button at the top of your reviews stream.

Use the checkboxes to select multiple reviews to manage.

Click the "Add Tags" button to open the Select Tags dialogue box.

Click the "Add Tag" button to select the tags to bulk apply to your reviews.

Click the “+” icon to add any further tags before applying the tags to your reviews by clicking the green button “Add Tags to … Reviews

🔔 Currently, it is not possible to remove tags in bulk from reviews. Tag removal is handled at the individual review level.

Filter reviews using tags

You can filter by a single tag or a combination of tags to quickly find specific reviews or groups of reviews.

Click on the "Advanced" option in the top filter bar on the reviews moderation screen.

Select the option “Has Tag” to launch the Select Tags dialogue box.

Use the “Add Tag” button to select the tags you want to filter your reviews by, and then click OK to apply the filter.

To adjust your filter, click the "Selected" indicator to add or remove tags. To clear the selected tags entirely, click “Clear” in the top right corner of the menu.

💡 You can disable your filtered view by unchecking the "Has Tag" box. This will remove the filter and retain your currently selected Tags.

Best practices for using tags

To create consistency, help prevent confusion and avoid mislabelling when using tags, it’s recommended that you;

  • Create a consistent taxonomy when using tags.

  • Use clear language when creating the taxonomy.

  • Identify and document when a tag should be applied.

  • Share relevant docs and taxonomy with your team.

In addition to the above, it’s good practice to review your tags and taxonomy regularly to ensure they are still relevant and your team is aligned on how and when to apply tags consistently.
