Okendo Quizzes has a built-in test mode to help you validate your quiz configuration. Use it to check whether questions, answers, and recommendations have been set up correctly before publishing your quiz.

In this article, you will learn about;

Test questions, answers and recommendations

  1. Navigate to Quizzes > Quiz List, click the 3-dot menu next to an existing quiz, and select Edit.

  2. Click the Test tab. The questions set up for the quiz will be displayed along with dropdown menus containing answer options for each one.

  3. Select an answer for each question to simulate the experience of a shopper taking the quiz.

  4. After you have selected answers for each question, scroll down to the Recommendations section. The recommendation pages set up for the quiz will be displayed.

  5. The recommendation pages that have a match to the answers selected will be outlined in green and marked with a tick. Any recommendations that do not match will be outlined in gray and marked with a gray dash.

  6. Click on each of the recommendations to view the conditions set for them. Green ticks indicate which conditions matched the selected answers; gray dashes indicate conditions that did not match.

  7. If more than one recommendation matches, the one that will display to the shopper will be marked with a green tick. The other matching recommendations will be marked with a gray tick instead. The recommendation that displays will be the one set as the highest priority within the Build tab.

  8. A preview of the recommendation page can be viewed next to the testing form.

Identify changes required and publish the quiz

After testing various answer combinations, you may identify issues such as:

  • Recommendation pages displaying for the wrong combination of answers

  • Recommendation pages not displaying for an expected combination of answers

  • Products displaying on pages when they should have been excluded for a given answer

Switch back to the Build tab and make the required changes to the recommendation conditions. Repeat the testing steps to confirm the recommendations display correctly.

Once you are satisfied with the test results, publish the quiz to your storefront.
