Reviews Keywords are intelligent tags automatically generated by Okendo based on the content of customer reviews for your products. These keywords are consolidated into a maximum of 7 keyword topics and provide valuable insights into the topics and themes present in your customer feedback. A minimum of 5 keywords needs to be generated across reviews for a product to generate a topic.

Where to Find Reviews Keywords

  • Customer-Facing Product Pages: Reviews Keywords are displayed within the reviews widget on your product pages, allowing customers to filter reviews based on specific topics.

  • Okendo Admin: In your Okendo admin panel, you can view the keywords associated with individual reviews and products. This provides a comprehensive overview of the key themes emerging from your customer feedback.

Reviews Keywords are automatically available to all merchants on Growth plans and above.

What are Reviews Keywords and how are they generated?

Reviews Keywords are intelligent, AI-generated tags derived from your customers’ review content. Okendo analyzes all submitted reviews and groups keywords into up to seven keyword topics per product. These topics help you and your shoppers quickly surface key themes and trends in what’s being said about your products.

Why should merchants use Reviews Keywords?

  • Enable enhanced filtering: Shoppers can click on keywords to filter reviews by topic, streamlining their experience.

  • Elevate insight: In your Okendo Admin, keyword topics help reveal customer sentiment and specific customer feedback to assist with product & marketing decisions.

Where can these keyword topics be accessed?

  • On your product pages:

    • Within the Reviews widget, shoppers can see and interact with keywords to filter reviews by topic.

    • A standalone Keywords widget can also be added to pages.

    • Keyword topics also appear within the filters if turned on.

  • In the Okendo Admin: You can inspect keywords at both the product and individual review level, along with context and sentiment indicators.

Are there prerequisites or requirements for using Reviews Keywords?

You store needs to be on the Growth plan or above and using Widget Plus for the Reviews widget to show keyword topics on site.

Can keyword topics display on headless instances?

If you have the standard Reviews widget installed on site, the Keywords module should display if added in the Okendo Admin. If you have a custom widget set up and are pulling data through the Storefront REST API, you can access keyword data through the corresponding endpoint.

Can the number of keyword topics be controlled?

A maximum of 7 keyword topics are generated for each product. The number of topics that displays in the Reviews widget module and standalone Keywords widget can be reduced. However, the maximum number of topics will still display in the filters.

Can keywords and keyword topics be customized or moderated?

Not currently, they are both automatically generated for products.

Can keyword topics be translated?

Yes, they use the same settings as review translations here.

Why are the keyword topics not filtering reviews?

Ensure that that keyword filter toggle has been turned on in the Reviews.
