A quiz can be previewed in the Okendo admin before it is published on a store across different devices types and screen sizes. Previewing before a quiz is published helps in trying different quiz configurations and styling settings in real time and make changes quickly.

Using the preview

The quiz preview is shown on the right side of the Build, Configure & Test tabs. Clicking the Desktop, Mobile & Tablet buttons will display the show in different sizes to provide an indication of how the quiz will display on each type of device.

The pop-out preview can be clicked to display the quiz in a separate window which can be resized to any dimension and provides an indication of how the quiz and individual elements will scale. Similar to the built-in preview, this will stay in sync with any changes to the quiz made in the admin.

The behavior of the preview varies depending on the active tab as detailed below.

Build tab

  • Page through questions as if you are answering the quiz

  • Interact with quiz directly by clicking on answer options and buttons

  • Navigate through a quiz from the intro page to the recommendations

Configure tab

  • Preview styling and configuration changes made to the quiz

  • Page through the quiz as if you are answering the quiz or select a specific page from the dropdown menu in the top left

  • If there are different variations of the recommendation page, they can each be selected and previewed

  • The preview will automatically switch to an applicable page when a setting or styling change is made

Test tab

  • Fixed to the recommendation page

  • The recommendation page and/or products shown will change depending on the answers selected on the left panel

  • Interact with actions such as the Add to Cart button

  • Refer to the Testing a Quiz article for more details

Once you have previewed your quiz on all tabs and made any required changes you can proceed to installation.
