Section 2: Activate your Plan

If you'd like to move forward with activating Okendo, the first step is to download the app from the Shopify app store. Before you can start collecting reviews from your customers and showcasing them on your site, you must activate your Okendo billing plan.

To activate your plan:

Open your Okendo app.
Go to Settings > Billing.
Select one of the four billing plans, and it will redirect you to the Approve subscription page in your Shopify account.

Section 3: Install Okendo.

Auto-installing Okendo (preferred):

When you select the auto-install option, Okendo installs the widget code snippets and elements (based on your theme architecture, Vintage or Online Store 2.0) that you'll need to add your widgets to your theme. The widget is where your reviews will be displayed on the product pages.

Please note, the actual Reviews Widget will not be added to your site until you have fully approved and turned it on. To do this, you’ll need to go to the Shopify Theme Customizer and enable the Okendo App Embed.

Section 4: Set Up Okendo

Step 1: Design your Reviews Widget

Okendo offers you the widest array and most customizable review displays. There are multiple different review display types, a variety of layouts, and endless design customizations to choose from so that you can build a reviews display that blends into your site instead of using one that looks like it was just pulled off the shelf.

Step 2: Style the Review Capture Form

The Review Capture Form streamlines the review process by allowing your customers to provide their reviews in a single step. The form itself consists of three pages that you can customize to fit your needs and you can use the Auto-Style feature to quickly and simply customize all 3 pages to match your brand colors.

Step 3: Send Review Request Emails

Okendo sequences automatically trigger a post-purchase review request email which requests a product review from your customers. You can configure the timing of the email as well as the copy and design to maximise review generation.

To personalize your emails, go to Customizing Your Emails.

Once the design has been finalised, you’ll need to enable a sequence to collect reviews. A sequence triggers the message (or messages) that your customers receive asking them to submit a review, but only when their order meets the eligibility criteria that you set for the sequence.
