Add custom marketing consent and terms to a quiz

Display your own marketing consent text and legal terms on your Okendo quizzes for full control over messaging and data compliance.

You can display your own marketing consent text and legal terms on your quizzes. This provides more control over your messaging when collecting data to ensure it aligns with your brand language and legal policies.

Add a custom marketing consent message

This lets you ask for marketing consent alongside your email question.

  1. In the Okendo admin, navigate to Quizzes and click to edit a quiz.

  2. Edit the email question and enable the Email question toggle.

  3. Enter your preferred email question text (for example, "What's your email address?").

  4. Toggle on Ask for marketing consent.

  5. In the text box provided, enter your custom marketing consent message. Make sure your consent message clearly states that the customer is opting in to receive marketing communications. E.g. "Email me with news and offers"

  6. (Optional) Enable Require customer email if you want to make this question mandatory to answer.

  7. Click Apply to save your changes.


Add custom terms & conditions and privacy policy

  1. In the Okendo admin, navigate to Quizzes, and click to edit a quiz.

  2. Click on the Configure tab and then the Custom T&Cs section.

  3. Complete the following fields:

    • Legal Entity Name: Your business's legal name.

    • Terms Text: Label for your Terms & Conditions (e.g. "Terms and Conditions").

    • Link to Terms: URL to your Terms & Conditions.

    • Privacy Text: Label for your Privacy Policy (e.g. "Privacy Policy").

    • Link to Privacy: URL to your Privacy Policy.

    • Additional Terms: Any additional terms you'd like to display alongside the quiz.
