Best practices for staying within limits

Question limit

  • Focus on the questions that most effectively guide customers to the right product. Too many questions can lead to drop-offs, so aim for a balance between gathering useful data and keeping the quiz engaging.

Weighted products limit

  • Prioritize the products most relevant to the quiz's goal. You don't need to include your entire catalog — for example, focus on a specific category or products you want to promote.

Tag limit

  • Avoid redundant or overly broad tags that could reduce recommendation accuracy.

  • If you're using points logic with product tags, periodically audit your tags to make sure they align with your current product catalog.

Recommended products per page limit

  • Highlight your top-performing products within the limit. 3–5 products is optimal — too many recommendations can overwhelm customers and make the results feel less specific.

Recommendation pages limit

  • Consolidate pages where possible by using exclusion logic:

    • Consider broadening conditions for product recommendations by including more products on a single page with the same conditions.

    • If multiple pages share most of the same conditions but differ on just one, you can often combine them into one page and use an exclusion condition to handle the differences.

Additional recommended products limit

  • Only include additional products that genuinely complement the primary recommendations.

  • Monitor performance to make sure additional products contribute positively to conversion rates.
