Google Merchant Center includes a free add-on that displays your existing loyalty program tiers and perks directly on Google Search, the Shopping tab, and Google Ads, helping you attract new members and re-engage existing ones without any code changes to your site.

Before you get started

⚠️ This feature is set up and managed entirely within your Google Merchant Center account and doesn't require any configuration in your Okendo dashboard.

Make sure you have the following before you begin:

  • An active Google Merchant Center account with a product feed already connected

  • A business based in a supported country: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, India, Italy, Netherlands, South Korea, or Spain

Activate the loyalty program add-on

In Google Merchant Center:

  1. Go to Add-ons.

Under the Discover tab, find the Loyalty programs card and select Add.

💡 If you run a marketplace with multiple sub-accounts, set this up once at the top-level account only. You don't need to repeat it for each sub-account.

Add your program details

Once activated, fill in the following:

  • Loyalty program name — what customers see on Google (e.g. "ABC Rewards").

  • Loyalty program label — an internal reference used to match your feed data. Use underscores instead of spaces. This can't be changed once submitted, so choose carefully.

  • Program description — a short summary of your program's key benefit.

  • Sign-up URL — the page where customers join your program.

Add your tiers

For each membership tier (for example, Free, Silver, Gold):

  1. Enter a tier name (customer-facing) and tier label (internal reference — also can't be edited later).

  2. Add an optional tier URL.

  3. Select the tier requirement: free to join, spending threshold, membership fee, or branded credit card.

  4. Add at least one benefit per tier: free shipping or delivery, redeemable points, or loyalty pricing.

❗ List your tiers from lowest barrier to entry to highest. For example, Free, then $100/year, then $500/year. Credit-card tiers should always go last.

Submit your program for review

Select Continue, review your entries, then select Send for approval. Google typically reviews submissions within 48 hours.

💡 You'll receive an email if your submission is rejected, and you can track approval status under the Loyalty programs tab in Merchant Center.
