Integrating Okendo with Fuego

Fuego is an AI-powered mobile app builder that lets Shopify Plus and Enterprise merchants launch fully native iOS and Android apps without custom development. By connecting Okendo to your Fuego workspace, you can bring your existing reviews, loyalty program, referral campaigns, and more into the apps, giving mobile customers a seamless experience without ever leaving.

❗️ API access is required to enable this integration. It is included on Okendo's Advanced plan and above, and is available as a paid add-on for Power plan subscribers. On the Fuego side, Reviews blocks are available on the Starter plan; the Loyalty Hub and Referrals blocks require Fuego's Enterprise plan.

In this article, you will learn about;

Platform requirements

Before enabling the integration, confirm the following requirements are in place.

Requirement

Minimum

Notes

Shopify plan

Shopify Plus

Required for the seamless login flow that powers loyalty and referral features in the app.

Fuego plan

Any paid Fuego plan

Starter supports Reviews blocks. Enterprise is required for the Loyalty Hub and Referrals blocks.

Okendo plan

Advanced or above

API access is required. Power plan subscribers can purchase API access as an add-on.

Okendo app

Installed and live

Okendo must be active on your Shopify storefront before connecting Fuego.

Fuego app

Published or in preview

Okendo blocks are available in the Fuego editor once your app is published or in preview state.

Customer accounts

Enabled in Shopify

Required for loyalty point balances and in-app review submissions to work correctly.

⚠️ API keys are store-specific. If you manage multiple Shopify stores, each store has its own Okendo API key and its own Fuego workspace.

Connecting Okendo to Fuego

The integration is set up entirely in your Fuego dashboard. No code changes to your store or app are required.

Access and Credentials

  • Fuego dashboard access: Admin-level user in your Fuego workspace.

  • Okendo API key: Retrieve from Okendo Admin → Settings → Integrations → API / Developer.

  • Shopify Admin access: Required during initial Fuego app setup; not needed

Connect Okendo in Fuego

  1. Log in to your Fuego dashboard and make sure you're in the correct workspace for the store you want to configure.

  2. From the left-hand navigation, select Integrations.

  3. Under Reviews & Loyalty, click the Okendo tile.

  4. Go to Okendo Admin → Settings → Integrations → API Keys and copy your API key.

  5. Paste the API key into the field in Fuego, then click Save. Fuego will verify the connection and display a green Connected badge when the integration is live.

❗️If the Connected badge doesn't appear, check your API key for extra spaces or truncation. If you're on Fuego's Enterprise plan and need Loyalty Hub or Referrals support, email support@fuego.io. Fuego's team may need to complete an additional setup step on their end.

Available Okendo blocks

Once connected, the following Okendo blocks appear in the Fuego block library. Add them to the relevant pages of your app by dragging them from the library into your page template.

⚠️ Check the Fuego integrations changelog for updates on native Okendo Quiz and Survey block support.

FAQs

Do I need a separate Okendo account for the app?

No. Your existing Okendo account is used for both your web store and your Fuego app. All your reviews, loyalty members, and referral campaigns are shared automatically (there is no additional Okendo subscription required for the mobile channel).

Will reviews submitted through the app appear on my web store?

Yes. Reviews submitted in the Fuego app are stored in Okendo and appear on your web store's product pages through the same Okendo widget. The app is simply another submission channel (all reviews live in one place).

Can customers earn loyalty points for actions taken in the app?

Yes. Any action that triggers point allocation in Okendo (e.g. purchases, review submissions, referrals, and more) works the same way in the app as it does on the web. You don't need to do anything extra to make this happen.

Do AI-generated review summaries appear in the app?

Yes, if AI Summaries are enabled on your Okendo account. The Reviews Widget will display them at the top of the reviews section automatically. Check your Okendo plan and settings to confirm this feature is active.

The Loyalty Hub is showing a blank screen or login loop. What should I check?

The Loyalty Hub requires customers to be logged in. Make sure customer accounts are enabled in your Shopify settings. If you're on Shopify Plus, confirm with Fuego that the seamless login flow is correctly configured. Contact support@fuego.io for setup assistance.

The integration shows 'Not Connected' in Fuego. How do I fix it?

Regenerate your API key in Okendo Admin → Settings → Integrations and re-enter it in Fuego. Make sure there are no extra spaces and that the key belongs to the correct Shopify store.

If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team or email Fuego support support@fuego.io.
