Product reviews play a crucial role in building trust, increasing conversions, and improving the overall shopping experience, for new shoppers. Now, Okendo provides an easy way for customers to leave reviews on products they purchased, directly from customer accounts.
By adding extensions to the Shopify customer accounts area, merchants can empower customers to launch product reviews and encourage authentic feedback, helping businesses refine their offerings and build stronger relationships with their audience. And by integrating Okendo Reviews with Okendo Loyalty, merchants can encourage greater engagement and participation with their loyalty program, increasing repeat purchases, average order value and customer lifetime value.

Customer account extensions are available to merchants on all Shopify plans (except Starter plan) and all Okendo plans. Merchants must also be using customer accounts (not legacy customer accounts).
⚠️ NOTE
Merchants can only use these extensions if they have both Okendo Reviews and have launched an Okendo Loyalty program.
Available Extensions
Okendo Reviews
The extension is accessible to both enrolled and pending members.
First, members must be logged into their Shopify account.
The extension is added to Customer Accounts > Profile.
The extension display products previously reviewed and yet to be reviewed.
Only products from a review request email (RRE), will display in this extension.
When members select the star rating against a product yet to be reviewed, they will be taken to the reviews form to complete their review.
Okendo Ratings
The extension adds star-ratings under each product in an order.
The extension operates in the same manner and under the same conditions as the Okendo Reviews extension (ie only products from RREs, selecting the star rating takes the customer to the reviews form to complete the review).
The extension is added to Checkout and Customer Accounts > Order Status page.
Adding Review customer account extensions
To add Loyalty customer account extensions, follow these steps:
Navigate to Shopify Admin and then in the left hand panel select Sales Channels and select Online Store.
Select Customize against your store theme.
3. In the menu at the top of the page, select Checkout and customer account.
4. Select the Apps icon in the left hand pane and then All. You should see the extensions called Okendo Reviews and Okendo Ratings.
5. Select the
symbol and then select the section in customer accounts. Repeat this process for each extension required. Note that each extension has pre-defined sections where it can be added.
6. Select Save and exit the Shopify theme customizer.
Removing Loyalty customer account extensions
To remove the Loyalty customer account extensions:
Navigate to Shopify Admin and then in the left hand panel select Sales Channels and select Online Store.
Select Customize against your store theme.
In the menu at the top of the page, select Checkout and customer account.
Go back to the same menu and select the appropriate section:
To access the Okendo Reviews extension, select Profile.
To access the Okendo Ratings extension, select Order Status.
Select Sections and then the extension on the left hand side. In the screenshot below, the Okendo Reviews extension is selected.
6. Select the ellipsis next to the extension name and then Remove. This will remove the extension from the section. Repeat this process for all extensions you wish to remove.
7. Select Save and exit the Shopify theme customizer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can either Review customer account extensions be styled?
Review customer account extensions inherit styles from the checkout and customer accounts theme. As such, they cannot be individually styled. However the reviews form can be styled in Okendo Reviews.
Can either Review customer account extensions be moved to other sections?
Default sections for each Review customer account extensions are encoded within the extensions themselves.
