Introduction

Sometimes it may be necessary to resend review requests to customers. In this article we will explore 3 ways to accomplish this.

Using the Resend Button

Okendo's native Mail tool allows for emails to be easily resent with the click of a button. To resend a review request that was triggered by a Sequence (or any Okendo-generated email for that matter) follow the steps below. This option is best used when a customer would like to leave a review and has not already left one for the product(s) in the associated order.

Note: If using an ESP such as Attentive or Klaviyo, the email will need to be resent directly from those platforms.

  1. Navigate to Mail > Send History > Filter > Review Request


  2. Search for the customer record using the search bar or by scrolling, then click the magnifying glass

  3. Click Resend

Sending Direct Review Links

As noted above, using the Resend Button method only works if the customer has not already left a review for the products linked in the request email. Sometimes, however, a customer may desire to edit or update their review. While Okendo does not allow for reviews to be edited, a direct review link can be shared with customers to leave a new review.

Direct review links can be generated in a few ways:

  1. If the Write A Review button is enabled in your store, you can simply navigate to the product page, right-click the button, and copy the review link.


  2. If your store does not have the Write A Review button enabled, you can still generate a review link via the Okendo admin.

    1. Go to Reviews > Products

    2. Select the product you'd like to generate a review link for

    3. Click

    4. In the URL, remove "&testMode=true"

  3. Copy and share the link

Note: Because the methods above use a generic link vs unique links that are generated via review request emails, any reviews submitted will not be marked with the verified buyer badge and will not reward any coupons/points.

Targeted Sends (Power plan and above)

If you have a large list of customers that you'd like to manually send reviews to, or if you'd like to sends a multiple products to customers to review at once, using a Targeted Send is a good solution. Please reach out to our support team to request a targeted send. They will provide you with instructions and a CSV template to fill out the information of the recipients and products you'd like reviews for. Then, our team will trigger a sequence to send out review request emails.
