Users completing a survey can provide you with marketing consent. If you are using Klaviyo as your email service provider, they can be synced to a Klaviyo marketing list.
You will need to have the Klaviyo integration enabled in your Okendo app before you are able to sync users to a Klaviyo list. You can reference our help article here to set up your Okendo <> Klaviyo integration.
Ask for Marketing Consent in Surveys
Include an email question manually in a survey.
Toggle Ask for marketing consent to on.
When a user checks the Email me with news and offers box in a survey, they will be subscribed to email marketing in Shopify.
Set up a List in Klaviyo
Visit the Lists & Segments page in Klaviyo.
Ensure that the list you would like to add the user to is created.
Click the overflow menu and then List Settings.
Scroll down to the Opt-in Process section.
Select Single opt-in to automatically sign a user up to a Klaviyo list if they provide marketing consent in a survey.
Select Double opt-in if you would like a user to confirm their subscription via email before being signed up to list.
Sync Email Subscribers Between Shopify and Klaviyo
Visit the Klaviyo Integrations page and click the settings for Shopify.
Scroll down to Sync settings and ensure Sync your Shopify email subscribers to Klaviyo is checked.
Select the list you had previously set up.
Now when a user consents to marketing in a survey, they will be automatically added to the Klaviyo email list of your choice.
