Integrating with Yotpo Loyalty via Shopify Flow

This article will explain how to integrate with Yotpo Loyalty via Shopify Flow, and award customers for leaving a review with Yotpo loyalty points.

1. Ensure Shopify Flow and Okendo are both installed on your store.

2. Open the Flow app and select create a workflow.

3. Click on Add Trigger and select Okendo Review Created.

4. Set up the flow like any of the examples below. Each is different depending on what you're looking to reward.

Example 1: Left a review (no photo or video reward).

Example 2: Left a review + included photo/video (photo and video reward is the same)

Example 3: Left a review + included photo/video (photo and video reward is different)

5. Configure the actions accordingly. Please note that the left_photo/left_video are only necessary if points are being awarded for those actions.

Name of completed action: This will need to match the name of the action in Yotpo Loyalty, for example, "left_review".
​Email address of customer: {{email}}
​What type of campaign?: CustomAction
​How many points to award: This will be left blank as it will be defined within your Yotpo Loyalty admin.
​Description for customer history: Same as above.

6. Set up the equivalent program in the Yotpo Loyalty app, ensuring that the Action Name matches the Custom Action campaign in Yotpo Loyalty. For example, the Action Name must be called left_review in both Shopify Flow and Yotpo Loyalty. Yotpo's article for setting up the campaign can be found here.

7. Lastly, you can check that the integration has been successful in the run history, Okendo's review timeline (Okendo -> Moderation -> Find your Review -> Details -> Timeline), and also by checking the customer profile in the Yotpo Loyalty app.

A few things to note:

a) Yotpo will only award points to current Loyalty members. Therefore, new customers will need to register an account to be eligible.

b) By default, points will be awarded to any type of review. To exclude reviews from the "write a review" button on the product page, configure the flow like below.
